Autism Community Network (ACN) was founded in 2008 through an initiative led by a consortium of healthcare funders concerned with the growing prevalence of autism and the rapid rise in demand for quality diagnostic services. After a community planning project, ACN opened its clinic to the community on the West side of San Antonio in March 2009. In 2013, ACN relocated to its current, larger facility in order to accommodate more families.
ACN offers:
Medical diagnostic services for children,
Classes, hands-on course, and events for children and caregivers affected by autism,
Professional development for professionals serving children with autism,
Community outreach and awareness,
Independent Educational Evaluations, and
Summer camps for children.
Since ACN's opening, we have served over 20,000 individuals through our programs. A committed staff of 16 individuals is changing lives of families affecting by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). More specifically, between the 9 clinic staff, there is a combined 184 years of relevant experience.
